Who can play pickleball?
Pickleball can be played by players of any age, from young people to 90+. Usually people can be grouped by age and ability so that everyone can have a good game.
What do I need to play pickleball?
You will need to wear comfortable sportswear and trainers to play in. The game is played with a paddle and a special ball. We can provide paddles, nets and balls to anyone wanting to play.
Where can you play pickleball?
Our club is based at the Beacon of Light in Sunderland, but pickleball is played all over the UK, Europe and America. If you are looking for somewhere else to play in England the Pickleball England web site has a club locator.
When does the club play?
Currently the club plays on a Tuesday afternoon 1-3 p.m.
How much does it cost?
We usually pay £5 per person per session to play, which is used to pay for the courts and. to buy equipment such as nets, paddles and balls.
